My name is Mio Hayashi, and I was born and raised in Japan but left my home to Switzerland when I was 14 to enroll in a Swiss boarding school. After finishing high school, I moved to New York to attend New York University where I studied marketing. Upon graduation, I started working for a Japanese cosmetics company, and there I learned the basic concept of self-care with a focus on Japanese skincare.

I grew tired of the fast-paced city life and moved to Barcelona in 2008, where I started to consult for various beauty companies on a freelance basis. While I enjoyed the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle more, I also ran into a series of difficulties in life, which led me to an encounter with Reiki in 2013. I practiced it diligently and advanced to the second and the third levels in the following year, and finally became a master in 2017.

Little did I know that I would be able to combine my experience in beauty and Reiki, until I came up with the concept of Beauty Vibrations in 2022, with a hope that the beauty-focused concept of Reiki would appeal to many people so they can experience and learn this wonderful ancient healing technique.

My Reiki therapies incorporate Shigeta Paris products, and the treatments are currently available at the Juno House by appointment. I also teach Reiki for all four levels of Usui Japanese system, and the first two degrees are available through an online program that combines a physical attunement.
